Designed to work in standard piped floor drains, Petro-Plugs® will allow water to flow through the drain as usual. However, utilizing our patented material the Petro-Plug® will remove any grease or oil that would have otherwise gone down the drain along with the water. The Petro-Plug® will act just like a barrier, if a spill of oil runs to the drain, the Petro-Plug® forms a plug to prevent any leakage of oil into the drain. Oil cannot get through the Petro-Plug®
PETRO-BARRIER
Petro-Barriers™ provide the most effective, nearly zero maintenance, and least expensive solution for Spill Containment Area stormwater drainage. In its twelve (12) full years of operations, and hundreds of sales and installations of its products, oil has never gotten past any of our products!
The Petro-Barrier™ has been on the market since 1998. Anyone with experience in this field is familiar with oil/water separators, oil stop valves and oil sensing switches for pumps. None of these expensive & high maintenance methods are foolproof, and in numerous situations have contributed to significant oil spills. Many times oil has gotten past a separator or stuck valve or fouled oil switch. Petro-Barriers™ make those techniques completely out-of-date.
PETRO-PIPE
Petro-Pipes™ are used when a vertical drain is not an option. Poor draining soil, high water table, and other reasons might render a vertical drain down into the ground impossible. In this situation, discharge of water from a containment area can still be accomplished through a Petro-Pipe™.
Installing several Petro-Pipes™through the berm or curb, or through a wall, will allow water to pass through while trapping the oil. Oil cannot get through the Petro-Pipe™.
OIl-BOND™ BOOMS &
OIL-BOND™ GRANULES
Booms
Oil-Bond™ Booms have a superior wicking action far greater than other spill products on the market today. Our Booms are selective, hydrocarbons are absorbed leaving the water behind. As the Oil-Bond™ Booms reach their capacity the absorbed oil begins solidifying into a rubber-like solid. At this point, the booms become a containment boom on the water, not allowing oils to pass through.
Granules
Oil-Bond™ has become a valuable tool for companies that have to deal with oil/water problems. Oil-Bond™ has proven to save thousands of dollars by solidifying floating oils on water surfaces. The oil transforms into a rubber-like sheet which can then be removed, leaving the water virtually sheen free. For open water spills, Oil-Bond™ can be applied directly onto the water surface using a variety of different types of air pressure equipment.
OIl-BOND™ PILLOWS
The Oil-Bond Pillow was designed to work outdoors under utility transformers and leaking equipment. Each pillow will absorb up to 4 litres of oil, but will not absorb any rainwater, or will water push any oil out. Oil-Bond Pillows™ quickly applied in other areas to remove oils and sheen in oil/water separators, bilges, emergency response operations and many others.
